Join the Michigan Association for Evaluation (MAE) Board of Directors and shape the future of Michigan’s evaluation community!
The Michigan Association for Evaluation, a local affiliate of the American Evaluation Association, is seeking nominees for its Board of Directors. Qualified candidates are actively engaged in evaluation (academically and/or professionally) in Michigan and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing the science of evaluation through MAE. As a Board, we are interested in assuring that we have representation that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. Evaluators from all identities and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Must be and remain a member of MAE for the duration of your term on the board (join or renew your MAE membership at https://maeeval.org/membership)
Actively engage in evaluation in Michigan (academically and/or professionally)
Demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing the science of evaluation through MAE
Concerned with supporting efforts to address diversity, equity, and inclusion in evaluation
The Commitment
New Board members will commence their 2-year term on June 22, 2026.
The MAE board meets on a monthly basis throughout the year.
The Process
Nominations are accepted through Friday, May 29, 2025.
Once board nominations are secure, a voting ballot will be distributed to all members of the MAE.
Following ballot tabulation, nominees will be contacted with results.
How to Apply
Complete and submit your nomination form by Friday, May 29, 2026. As part of the nomination process, you will be asked to provide a brief statement (max 200 words). There are two elements of a good candidate statement:
It provides an overview of the candidate’s evaluation experience, expertise and interests.
It explains why the candidate is interested in serving on the MAE board and what they hope to accomplish as a board member.
