MAE Committees

The Michigan Association for Evaluation has several committees devoted to further developing evaluation and the professional development of MAE members.

Communications To engage the evaluation community in ongoing dialogue about key topics related to the value, conduct, and use of evaluation as a tool for continuous improvement. Also, serves as a mechanism for connecting with MAE members to inform them about organizational governance and operations. Nancy Hewat & Rita McPhail
Conference The conference committee plans MAE's annual conference, developing themes, identifying keynote speakers and presenters for the professional development workshop, identifying a venue, and recruiting panelists to lead breakout sessions. Meg Blinkiewicz
Development To enhance the sustainability and growth of MAE by generating new resources, by such means as grants and contracts; partnerships and collaborations; and donations of money, time and talent. Brian Dates
Increasing Evaluators of Color in Michigan Special Projects Committee/Task Force: This is a grant MAE received from the Kellogg Foundation to develop a program to increase evaluators of color in Michigan. Neva Nahan
Membership To recruit new members, retain exisiting members, and ensure diversity of membership. Gary Heidel
Professional Development To promote high-quality evaluation practice and to arrange services to improve the quality of evaluation in Michigan.
